What it is

This is a mid-pitch Tiger gong made of bronze from Wuhan, China measuring 33cm in diameter. It is played using a cloth wrapped mallet.

Typically orchestrated in traditional Chinese wind and percussion (吹打) settings and coupled with an assortment of Chinese cymbals.
