What it is
This is a full-sized python skin Sanxian from Beijing Raoyang.
The Sanxian historically has been one of the most popular Chinese folk instruments. Likened to the Japanese Shamisen and Western banjo, the Sanxian produces a unique, dry tone when played.
The length is 121cm and the width of the resonator is 21cm.

About the maker
Raoyang Beifang is a Chinese Musical Instrument Factory founded in 1985 in Hebei, China. It was initially under the name of “Beijing Instrument Factory (Raoyang Branch)”. Although it still maintains it’s ties to it’s parent company, Xinghai, Raoyang Beifang develops it’s own line of products, ranging from Erhu, Pipa and even Morin Khuu.
