Eason Music Store Concert Grade Aged Rosewood Zhonghu By Shanghai Dunhuang

The Zhonghu is like the alto of the Huqin family. The construction of a Zhonghu is similar to that of an erhu, but with a larger neck and resonator. The strings are tuned to a fifth lower than that of an Erhu.

The Zhonghu produces a deep and mellow tone, similar to that of a Viola, but more expressive.

This Zhonghu by the Shanghai Dunhuang “Yun” brand has a deep and rich tone. It is responsive while playing, and even high notes come out cleanly.
