What it is
Being the biggest in the ruan family, the Daruan has the lowest pitch and is also known as the bass ruan.
Lianghao’s instruments produces a tone that is sweet, resonant and clear. The frets are in tune and the tone and volume of different strings sound very balanced.
This Beijing Daruan is made using Hong Huali wood with nylon frets. This makes the tone of the ruan rich, bright and sweet.
The sound holes are shaped like soaring birds.

About the Maker
Liang Hao is a famous Chinese Instrument Maker from Beijing, China. His most sought after instruments include the Zhongruan and Liuqin. He was the student of Song Guang Ning, another Chinese Instrument Maker. Liang Hao’s instruments are very bold and resonant but retains their clarity. Together with his teacher, they have researched and improved upon older models of the Zhongruan and Liuqin, making them ever more resonant.
